Who we are
Paper Atlas is made by ShadeTap, an independent game studio. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean ShadeTap.
What the game stores
Paper Atlas saves your progress on your phone, with a backup copy: your research points, the atlas entries you've opened, your goal, your level in each language, the crossword in progress and your settings for sound, haptics, animation, language and theme.
This data stays on your device. There's no account, no cloud save and no server, so nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
What we don't collect
Paper Atlas doesn't collect personal information or device identifiers, and it doesn't track you.
It contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools. The Android app doesn't request internet access; the only permission it uses is vibration.
Source links
Atlas entries and space facts include a Source button. Tapping it opens the reference page, mostly from NASA or ESA, in your phone's browser. That website's own privacy policy applies there.
Purchases
The current version has no in-app purchases. Research points are earned by solving crosswords and can't be bought.
Children
Paper Atlas collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If you contact us
If you email us about Paper Atlas, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as device details, screenshots or a screen recording. We use it only to answer you and fix the problem, we don't share it, and we delete it when you ask or once it's no longer needed.
Your choices
Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes everything it stored on your phone.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes the current version of Paper Atlas. If a future version changes what the game collects, we'll update this page before that version is released and change the date at the top.
